1. Organizer and Eligibility
The Ulefone Mascot Co-Creation Contest (the "Contest") is organized by Shenzhen Gotron Electronic Co., Ltd. (the "Organizer") under the Ulefone brand.
The Contest is free to enter and open to participants worldwide, except where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.
Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Participants must provide accurate and valid contact information. The Organizer reserves the right to request reasonable proof of age, identity, or eligibility before awarding any prize.
By entering the Contest, participants confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements and agree to comply with these Rules and Rights (the "Rules").
2. Contest Categories and Submissions
Participants may enter one or more categories, provided that each submission meets the requirements of the relevant category.
- Category A: Mascot Naming — Submit a proposed name for the Ulefone Bear.
- Category B: Mascot Theme Design — Create a themed version of the Ulefone Bear based on its official character design.
- Category C: Animated Mascot Expressions — Create animations featuring the Ulefone Bear's expressions, gestures, or actions.
Static images are not accepted in Category C. Each animation must be submitted as a separate entry and will be evaluated individually.
Participants must follow the submission instructions, file format requirements, and deadlines published on the official Contest page.
Entries that are incomplete, inaccessible, submitted after the deadline, or otherwise fail to meet the published requirements may be rejected or disqualified.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Purchasing Ulefone products does not increase the chances of winning.
3. Originality and Third-Party Rights
Participants must have created their submissions themselves or obtained all necessary rights and permissions to submit them and comply with these Rules.
Submissions must not knowingly infringe the copyright, trademarks, design rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other legal rights of any third party.
Participants must not plagiarize, misappropriate, or unlawfully copy the work of others.
If a submission incorporates third-party elements, including images, illustrations, graphics, fonts, music, audio, or other materials, participants must ensure that their use of such elements is appropriately authorized.
Participants must not submit work subject to ownership disputes, conflicting exclusive licenses, or other restrictions that would prevent them from fulfilling their obligations if selected as winners.
For potential winning entries, the Organizer may request additional information or supporting documentation concerning originality, ownership, licenses, permissions, or other relevant rights.
If necessary, the Organizer may require certain elements to be modified, replaced, or appropriately licensed before confirming an award.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, participants are responsible for claims, direct losses, and reasonable costs arising from their material breach of these obligations.
4. Use of Ulefone Brand Assets
All brand assets provided by Ulefone for this Contest, including the Ulefone name and logo, original mascot design, reference images, visual materials, and other brand-related assets, remain the property of Ulefone or their respective rights holders.
Participants are granted limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable permission to use these assets solely for preparing and submitting Contest entries and, where permitted, publicly sharing their participation in the Contest.
Such permission does not grant participants ownership or independent commercial rights in Ulefone's brand assets.
Without prior written authorization from Ulefone, participants must not sell, license, distribute, or independently commercialize the provided assets or derivative materials incorporating them.
Participants must not use these assets in a manner that falsely suggests official endorsement, damages Ulefone's reputation, or infringes the rights of Ulefone or other rights holders.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Ulefone or the relevant rights holders.
5. Use of Artificial Intelligence
AI-assisted creation is welcome.
Participants who use AI tools must disclose the AI platforms or tools used and briefly explain how AI contributed to their submissions, as requested in the submission form.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with these Rules and do not knowingly infringe third-party rights, regardless of whether AI tools were used.
For entries selected as potential winners, the Organizer may request additional information about AI-generated elements, creative contributions, and applicable usage rights where reasonably necessary to verify the rights required for commercial use.
If any element presents legal, ownership, or licensing concerns, the Organizer may request modifications, replacement materials, or additional permissions before confirming the award.
Participants acknowledge that AI-generated elements may not qualify for copyright protection in every jurisdiction and that the availability and scope of transferable rights depend on applicable law.
Failure to disclose material AI use or provide reasonably required rights information may result in disqualification or forfeiture of the relevant prize.
6. Judging and Public Voting
Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, originality, quality, suitability for the Ulefone Bear and the Ulefone brand, and compliance with these Rules.
Category A will involve internal shortlisting followed by public voting. Categories B and C will be evaluated by the Ulefone judging team without public voting.
For Category A, the Organizer will shortlist ten candidate names and conduct preliminary trademark and legal checks before public voting begins.
The eligible name receiving the highest number of valid public votes will be selected as the winning name, subject to final eligibility and rights verification.
The Organizer may investigate suspected automated voting, duplicate voting, vote manipulation, fraud, or other irregularities and invalidate affected votes or entries.
If a shortlisted or winning name is subsequently found to present legal or rights-related concerns, the Organizer may exclude it and consider the next highest-ranked eligible name.
The Organizer's judging and eligibility decisions are final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Rights to Names Submitted in Category A
Participants retain any rights they may lawfully hold in the names they submit, subject to the terms below.
By entering Category A, participants grant the Organizer and its affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, publish, and use submitted names for purposes related to the administration, judging, promotion, reporting, and documentation of the Contest.
If a name is selected as the winning name, the winner agrees that Ulefone may use it worldwide for branding, marketing, promotional, and other commercial purposes without additional compensation beyond the awarded prize.
Ulefone may use the winning name independently or in connection with the Ulefone Bear mascot, products, services, merchandise, software, digital experiences, and other commercial activities.
Ulefone may, at its discretion, apply to register the winning name as a trademark where appropriate, but is under no obligation to do so.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the winner agrees not to register, commercially exploit, license, or authorize third parties to use the winning name in a manner that conflicts with Ulefone's commercial use of the name.
The winner must sign a separate Rights Confirmation Agreement before receiving the prize. The agreement will specify the relevant rights, permissions, restrictions, and any reasonable cooperation required from the winner.
Nothing in these Rules guarantees trademark registration or grants Ulefone exclusive rights against third parties beyond those available under applicable law.
8. License for Submissions in Categories B and C
Participants retain their intellectual property rights in submissions to Categories B and C unless and until the relevant rights are transferred under a separate agreement for a winning entry.
By submitting an entry, participants grant the Organizer and its affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, publish, communicate, and reasonably adapt the submission for purposes related to the Contest.
Such purposes include Contest administration, judging, promotion, winner announcements, publication on official websites and social media platforms, online or offline exhibitions, and Contest documentation.
The Organizer may retain reasonable archival records of submitted entries and Contest-related publications, subject to applicable law.
This license does not authorize the Organizer to independently manufacture, sell, or commercially exploit non-winning submissions as standalone products or creative assets.
The license does not transfer ownership of non-winning entries to the Organizer.
9. Rights Assignment for Winning Entries in Categories B and C
Winners in Categories B and C must sign a formal Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement with Shenzhen Gotron Electronic Co., Ltd. or its designated rights-holding entity before receiving their prizes.
Subject to the terms of that agreement and applicable law, winners must assign all transferable intellectual property rights that they own or control in their winning entries, including copyright and other transferable economic rights in their original contributions.
The assigned rights will cover worldwide use for the full legal duration of those rights, including permitted renewals and extensions.
Such rights include, where applicable, the rights to reproduce, publish, distribute, display, communicate, modify, adapt, redesign, translate, combine with other materials, develop derivative works, manufacture, market, sell, license, sublicense, and otherwise commercially exploit the winning entry, in whole or in part, across existing and future media, platforms, products, and services.
Permitted commercial applications may include:
- Physical mascot figures, toys, themed merchandise, accessories, and promotional products.
- Animated expressions, digital stickers, apps, software, user interfaces, and other digital experiences.
- Product packaging, advertising, websites, social media, marketing campaigns, and other brand-related materials.
- Future adaptations, redesigns, combinations, and derivative products.
The Organizer may authorize its affiliates, manufacturers, distributors, commercial partners, and service providers to exercise the relevant rights as necessary for authorized business activities.
Where certain rights cannot legally be assigned, winners must, to the extent permitted by applicable law, grant the necessary licenses or other lawful permissions for the intended uses, as specified in the formal agreement.
Any moral rights or other non-transferable rights will be addressed in accordance with applicable law and the formal agreement.
Winners must disclose relevant third-party or AI-generated elements whose rights may be restricted and provide reasonably necessary source files, editable files, project files, supporting materials, and rights documentation.
The awarded prize constitutes the full agreed compensation for the assignment, licenses, and deliverables specified in the formal agreement, except where additional compensation is required by applicable law.
The assignment does not affect Ulefone's ownership of its pre-existing brand assets, including the original mascot design.
10. Modification and Commercial Development of Winning Entries
Winning entries may serve as the basis for further creative development and commercial applications.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify, refine, redesign, adapt, or create derivative works based on winning entries to meet branding, production, technical, legal, or other business requirements.
The final versions used in products, merchandise, software, advertising, or other commercial applications may differ from the originally awarded entries.
The Organizer may retain the key characteristics of the Ulefone Bear and the winning theme design while adjusting other elements as necessary.
Such modifications may include changes to appearance, clothing, accessories, props, colors, proportions, movements, animation details, and other design elements.
Subject to the applicable rights assignment agreement and applicable law, these modifications and commercial uses will not require additional approval from or compensation to the original creator.
The Organizer may also decide not to commercially develop or use a winning entry.
11. Intellectual Property in Non-Winning Entries
Except for Ulefone's pre-existing intellectual property and any third-party materials, the intellectual property rights in non-winning entries remain with their respective rights holders.
Participants may continue to use their own original contributions, subject to the Contest-related license granted under Section 8, applicable third-party rights, and the other provisions of these Rules.
Nothing in these Rules grants participants ownership of or independent commercial rights in Ulefone's name, trademarks, original mascot design, or other protected brand assets.
Participants must obtain Ulefone's prior written authorization before independently commercializing materials incorporating Ulefone's protected brand assets.
12. Conflicting Rights and Duplicate Entries
Participants must not submit entries that are subject to rights, licenses, or other contractual obligations that conflict with these Rules.
During the Contest and until the selection process is completed, participants must not assign, exclusively license, or otherwise encumber their submitted work in a manner that prevents them from fulfilling their obligations if selected as winners.
Participants must disclose any existing rights arrangements or restrictions that could materially affect the Organizer's intended use of a potential winning entry.
Multiple submissions are permitted, provided that each entry meets the applicable requirements and any submission limits published on the official Contest page.
The Organizer may reject or disqualify entries whose rights cannot be reasonably verified or cleared for the intended uses.
13. Creator Credit and Portfolio Display
Winners may identify themselves as the creators of their original contributions, subject to applicable law, confidentiality obligations, and the relevant winner agreements.
Winners in Categories B and C may display their winning entries in personal portfolios for non-commercial self-promotion after the Organizer has publicly announced or released the relevant work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Such portfolio use must not imply continued ownership of transferred rights, independent authority to license the winning work, or official Ulefone endorsement of unrelated products or services.
The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to credit the original creator where appropriate and reasonably practicable, subject to applicable law and the relevant agreement.
Nothing in this section limits any creator rights that cannot lawfully be waived or transferred.
14. Winner Verification, Prize Forfeiture, and Replacement
Potential winners will be contacted using the information provided during submission.
Winners must respond within the period specified in the winner notification and provide the information, documentation, agreements, and deliverables reasonably required to verify eligibility and complete prize acceptance.
If a potential winner declines the prize, cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, fails to satisfy the eligibility or rights requirements, or does not complete the required agreement or deliverables within the specified period, the Organizer may declare the relevant prize forfeited.
In such circumstances, the Organizer may select an eligible replacement winner according to the applicable judging criteria or voting results.
The replacement winner will be subject to the same eligibility, prize acceptance, and rights-related requirements.
The Organizer may grant a reasonable extension where appropriate.
For winning entries requiring a separate signed agreement, the relevant rights assignment or exclusive commercial-use arrangement will be completed in accordance with that agreement and applicable law.
15. Prizes and Prize Acceptance
The Contest offers a total prize pool of €3,000, distributed as follows:
| Category | Award | Number of Winners | Prize per Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| A – Mascot Naming | Grand Prize | 1 | €550 |
| A – Mascot Naming | Finalist Prize | 9 | €50 |
| B – Mascot Theme Design | Winning Entry | 5 | €200 |
| C – Animated Mascot Expressions | Winning Entry | 5 | €200 |
Winners may choose to receive their prizes as cash rewards or Ulefone products of equivalent value, subject to product availability and applicable law.
The equivalent value of Ulefone products will be determined using the applicable retail value communicated by the Organizer at the time of prize selection.
Where cash payment or product delivery is unavailable or impractical due to legal, payment, shipping, customs, or regional restrictions, the Organizer may offer vouchers or other lawful alternative rewards of comparable value, subject to applicable law and relevant redemption terms.
Any alternative that materially changes the nature or value of a prize will require the winner's agreement, unless otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Winners are responsible for any personal taxes or reporting obligations imposed by applicable law. The Organizer may withhold or report amounts where legally required.
The prize awarded to the Category A Grand Prize winner is subject to the Rights Confirmation Agreement described in Section 7.
Prizes awarded to winners in Categories B and C are subject to the Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement described in Section 9.
The relevant prize constitutes the agreed compensation for the rights, licenses, commitments, and deliverables specified in the applicable agreement, except where additional compensation is required by law.
16. Disqualification and Changes to the Contest
The Organizer reserves the right to reject or disqualify entries involving fraud, vote manipulation, false information, intellectual property infringement, unauthorized materials, unlawful content, or material violations of these Rules.
Entries containing hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content, or content that is inconsistent with the published creative requirements, may also be disqualified.
The Organizer may reasonably modify, suspend, postpone, or cancel the Contest where necessary due to technical failures, security incidents, fraud, legal requirements, force majeure, or other circumstances materially affecting the fair or lawful operation of the Contest.
Material changes will be communicated through the official Contest page where reasonably practicable.
Except where required by law or necessary to address fraud or serious violations, the Organizer will not apply material changes retroactively in a manner that unfairly deprives participants of rights or prizes already earned.
17. Participant Responsibilities and Liability
Participants are responsible for the accuracy of their submissions and the rights and permissions necessary for their participation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, participants are responsible for direct losses, reasonable costs, and third-party claims arising from their material breach of these Rules, unlawful conduct, or infringement of third-party rights.
The Organizer may request reasonable cooperation from participants in investigating or resolving claims relating to their submissions.
The Organizer is not responsible for technical failures, interruptions, or events beyond its reasonable control, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Personal Information and Privacy
The Organizer will process personal information collected in connection with the Contest for purposes including entry administration, eligibility verification, judging, public voting, winner notification, prize delivery, legal compliance, and Contest-related publicity, as described in the applicable Privacy Notice.
Personal information will be collected, used, shared, transferred, retained, and protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Privacy Notice.
Where required by law, the Organizer will provide appropriate information about international data transfers and applicable safeguards.
Participation in the Contest does not automatically constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing communications.
Any optional marketing communications will be subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.
For further details, please refer to the Organizer's Privacy Notice.
19. General Provisions and Acceptance of the Rules
By submitting an entry, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Rules and Rights.
The Organizer may publish additional clarifications concerning submission procedures and technical requirements, provided that such clarifications are consistent with these Rules and applicable law.
If any provision of these Rules is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
The separate Rights Confirmation Agreement for the Category A Grand Prize winner and the Intellectual Property Assignment Agreements for Categories B and C winners will govern the specific rights and obligations relating to the relevant winning entries.
In the event of a conflict concerning assigned or licensed rights, the applicable signed agreement will prevail to the extent permitted by law.
Organizer: Shenzhen Gotron Electronic Co., Ltd.
Effective Date: November 2, 2026
20. Duplicate and Similar Submissions
Category A – Mascot Naming: If the same or substantially identical name is submitted by multiple participants, the Organizer may treat these submissions as a single candidate name. The earliest valid submission, based on the Organizer's recorded submission time, will be given priority for finalist selection and prize eligibility.
Categories B and C – Mascot Theme Design and Animated Mascot Expressions: Submissions featuring similar themes, concepts, or actions are permitted, provided that each entry contains sufficiently distinct creative elements. If multiple submissions are identical or substantially similar in their creative expression, the Organizer reserves the right to review their originality and determine their eligibility. Where appropriate, the earliest valid submission may be given priority.
The Organizer reserves the right to determine whether submissions are considered duplicates and to make final decisions on their eligibility in accordance with these Rules.
